WORKSHOPS OVERVIEW

I run a variety of courses throughout the year which are held in a number of venues. They cover a wide variety of different skills & facets of willow weaving. They include traditional basketry skills & sculptural work. All are aimed at those with no or limited willow weaving experience.
Follow on courses are available to extend your skills if you desire. These courses are usually run in a variety of venues- please see the course list for more details

Group Bookings

Photos  are from bee skeps day at. Edibles with Hiddesfield Bee Keepers.
1 or 2 day courses can be run at your own venue or I can provide a venue for you within Sheffield or Barnsley.
Please send me an e-mail to discuss types of courses available, dates, cost, venues etc.

Summer Schools

Photos are from the Willow for the Garden Summer School at Westhope College at Craven Arms. A three days intensive course learning & using a mixture of traditional weaves for functional items (trellis, planters, obelisks, seats, baskets &bee skeps) and a more contemporary approach to garden sculpture (spheres, pods, angels, wall sculpture & contemporary baskets) . An incredibly productive course with most particiants producing 4 or more items over the 3 days.

Parties

Photos on the left are of 'the other Rachel's' summer willow weaving day which she organised for members of her family, children and her friends.
A wide range of garden sculptures and structures were made using a variety of coloured willows.
1 day courses can be run at your own venue or I can provide a venue for you within Sheffield or Barnsley.
