LIVING WILLOW- PUBLIC SPACES

Most of my commission work for public spaces is usually undertaken as engagement work for specific client groups.
As with all living willow structure work I provide a bespoke design service- discuss your needs/design ideas, tests your site for suitability and give you a detailed quote.
I usually design in the winter months and am planting next in Spring 2015 sorry you cant have it any earlier it is a seasonal product!

STANDEDGE VISITORS CENTRE

day one

British Waterways commissioned a 10 meter long willow tunnel at the visitors centre at Standedge Tunnel.
The building was undertaken over 2 days. Thanks to Sue, Nigel, Pat, Penny, Georgia, Jack, Gran, Rosemary, Derek and Josie's friend!

day two

After a freak snow fall in April the day before was spent holed up at home watching and waiting with baited breath!
The snow cleared and I was able to get over t'hill and after another successful day the tunnel is finished!
The photos below are at time of planting.

2 months on........

After bucket loads of rain and a small hot spell this is how it looks- green and lovely!

SMALLER SCALE WORK

The living willow construction on the right is a fedge, arbour, tunnel hybrid designed for 2 purposes: to lead down to the lower church garden and to provide an interesting alternative backdrop to wedding photographs.
Commissioned by the church and built by me it also enhances the outdoor space ready for Summer judging of the Sheffield in Bloom Competition.

Commissioned by our neighbours to provide some screening from the lane on which they live. All she needs to do now is keep on top of the watering!
